Ans:Marie curie changed our attitude and thinking towards radium, which gives off lots of radioactivity.
There are several demonstrations of the nature of science within Curie’s discovery of Radium. The concept that scientific theory changes as new evidence is found is one that is primary to the nature of science.
With the discovery of radium many scientific theories were changed, however, the most significant might be that atoms were unbreakable bits of matter.
Scientists were forced to abandon their assumptions about how the universe worked. Following this change in perspective scientists began studying how atoms could generate energy spontaneously, and asking what happened to the atoms after they gave off their rays.
Another significant demonstration of the nature of science within Curie’s work was how scientists work as citizens of the community.
Curie even dedicated much of her time to using radium and radiation as treatments for serious illnesses like Cancer.
Ultimately , it is also important to consider where other scientists took their discovery of radium, which as history proves led to everything from machines to help the sick to weapons of mass destruction.
